Hello Garima,Welcome to CareerGuide.com !!!Thanks for visiting CareerGuide.com and proposing your query.Its good to hear that you have been thinking to make your career in one of the demanding field of Forensic Science.Forensic Science is a crucial element for modern judicial system wherein a forensic scientist works in close coordiantion to find out evidence and show the same to courts and helps in solving the case legally acceptable evidence.In order to reach on to some conclusion a forensic scientist applies various scientific methods and principles in the investigation of criminal cases.Moreover,a keen analysis of the clues collected from a crime scene is fundamental for forensic scientists.Collecting materials from the crime spot and taking the same to crime laboratory,gathering all clues and converting them into evidences which are admissible in court is a crucial job of a Forensic Scientist.One has to also collect physical evidences like hair,blood,saliva etc. Besides Criminal investigation there are other options including teaching and crime reporter for qualified forensic professionals.One can get into Forensic Science Field from Science background and if person is from MEdical Science than its an added advantage in becoming a Forensic scientist as significant part or portion of the subject is related to Medical science and analysis. However students coming from other backgrounds like BA or B.Sc also have an option to make career by pursuing Post Graduation in Forensic Sciences. MBBS students can do specalisation in Forensic Science and they become eligible for doing Post mortem on dead bodies. While students having Law background can also make a career in Forensic Science by pursuing various diploma or certificate courses and can work in Research and Analysis Wing or Crime branch of State Police or CBI or Intellegince Bureau.Most of the Forensic Experts have jobs in government sector,particularly in various law enforcement agencies such as Police,Legal System ,Investigative services of the Central and State Governments.
