Dear aspirant

Thank you for approaching counsellors at CareerGuide.com.

I understand career breaks are natural for most of the students and especially girls. I am a counsellor and i have counselled many students who have had career breaks and want to start work. Some of them had health reasons and some of them had personal reasons like marriage, child birth soon after their graduation and never worked post studying. However the good news for you is most of them are working now. So please do not worry and stay relaxed. Even after a break you can find a job. The easiest route for most students is to go for further studies. Therefore i suggest you to study an MTech Electronics and communication engineering course. If you complete the MTech your resume will be good enough and your two years break will not be a matter. This studying further is the most preferred for students who want to hide their career breaks. As an MTech graduate you can also expect for better jobs with better pay. And more oevr if you score above 70 to 75% in MTech degree then it is a very high chance for you to get selected in jobs. If you cannot afford to study MTech degree due to financial constraints or personal reasons then you can find jobs with this BTech deegree itself.

For this i advice you to look for entry level roles at companies and apply for it. If you want to work in a company, then you can initially target for internships position. These internships are steppy stones to full time jobs. Moreover as you have had a career break you can get an internship easily rather than a full time job. If you like teaching, you can also try for a career as a teacher/ lecturer. With this BTech degree you can work at schools to teach electronics. Most international schools have electronics subject at 12th class and they will require teachers to teach the subject. You can apply for international and state schools. How ever if you wish to work at colleges then you should write UGC NET/ CSIR/ UGC SET/ UGC LEC exam. You should write any one of the exam and pass it. Upon qualification this certification will easily get you a job in colleges as a lecturer and your pay will stary anywhere from 12000 to 18000 depending on the college
