Making singing as a secure career cannot be guaranteed at all, since any of the Performing Arts in this field is entirely dependent on the viewers and listeners choice, taste, generation, etc.
Though I am happy that your passion for singing is making you think for a career in it, however as you have already put in, thinking for this at the age of 27 is actually inappropriate. However, I would strongly suggest you to keep practicing and keep finding opportunities where you can show your singing prowess. This may get you a chance to sing professionally.
What education have you pursued till now? Are you working? And feeling to leave it and get into singing as a profession?
