Thus as a Media professional, one needs to be bold and no stage fright is a must quality for this field.
Apart from this as a news reader, either you would be reading from a script or the teleprompter. SO here you are ready with what you have to speak, but in case of a Breaking news, you need to have good decision making capabilities, as well as good command over the language.You cannot just read the news the way it has been announced.Thus good decision skills, whereby understanding of which words to be used and which must be omitted is your skillsAnother requirement is to be spontaneous or impromptu.Though scripts are ready, but while interviewing a personality, certain things are not scripted, you would have to interpret and question accordingly.At that moment hesitation or getting stuck will not helpThough need not to be mentioned, but Research is one of the most important skill you need. The script is presented to you, you just have to read, but to read also, you need knowledge or rather a background of what has happened in the past a kind of link to the material.
