Hi Diksha,
Interesting question, but I am sure you are aware of the answer yourself.
As your question is related to the Media industry, and we all know that the Media has no fixed hours of working.
But coming to your question.
As a fresher in the industry, you would begin your career as a news reporter, whereby you would have to travel to the location to bring in the news, so here there is no fixed time of working. And most importantly, you would not be given a choice, you would have to be flexible to the timings given to you.
As you gain experience and are ready to face the camera, please note that here timings can be chosen by you, only when you are in a senior position. But please note that, despite you being on AIR would be one timing, you would have to report to the studio well in advance and prepare accordingly.
As far as Night shifts are concerned, Yes, you would be allocated Night shifts too. Again depending on the seniority of the position you would be granted a choice. But still in terms of choice, you would have to be flexible in your approach
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...........
