Civil Engineering which is the science for building infrastructure always had scope and opportunities, only difference is good civil engineers are required who do not compromise on quality and time. Civil Engineers knowing Project Management rather than just Site Management are required.
I would suggest that you can definitely complete your Diploma in Civil Engineering but you should also aim for future that you will complete degree in civil engineering. Remaining a Diploma Civil Engineer will restrict your future long term growth in terms of job profile and salary.
Scope for Diploma Civil Engineers is good since construction companies require people at the low and middle level majorly for site execution and labour & materials management. For this many Diploma Civil Engineers are employed. There is a lot to learn at that stage, however if you do not become a civil engineering graduate by completing your BE, you will remain at that level for many years together and it will take much more time to climb up.
