HI There,

Firstly, please note that if you do not pursue a masters in Psychology, you would not be counted as a Psychologists / Counselor.

As such, if you do no wish to pursue Psychology majors, you can opt for the following, depending on your likes and interests and potentials.

  • MBA:You can pursue Management studies, mainly HR, would be a good option to go with your Graduation degree. Or you can pursue an MBA in Hospitality Management. This would be a 2 years full time course. Eligibility for which is clearing the entrance exam weither state level or All india ( CAT, CET, NMAT, XAT), group discussion and followed by a personal interview.
  • MSW: Any Graduate is eligible for this course. It is a 2 years course.
  • Guidance and Counseling: Though these are not directly counselors, they are academic or career counselors. They are psychologists who guide students to choose a career on the basis of Psychometric or Aptitude tests.
  • Teaching: After Graduation you can pursue a B.Ed and teach in schools. Or you can opt for an Ecc.ed, course and teach the Montessori levels.
Other than this there are various short term certificate or diploma programs available like:
  • Graphic Designing
  • Animations
  • Interior designing
  • Fashion designing

In-case of confusion, it would be best if you could undergo an Aptitude tests, so that based on your potentials, you can choose further courses.

Hope this helps

Wish you good luck.........

Dear Aspirant,

If you are not keen to pursue your further studies in psychology , then some of the options you many consider for post graduation are :-

MBA Human Resources :- Since you must have gained basic understanding of human behavior by studying psychology at undergraduate level, it will be great if you back up your knowledge with a professional degree such as MBA Human Resource Management. Human Resource management focuses on devising , monitoring and applying selection/ recruitment procedures, management of change, employee services such as counselling facilities at the work place , training &improvement schemes etc. The duration of this course is two years. The programmer can be taken up after successful completion of at least a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

You can also do your post graduation in social welfare, mass communication or consider making a career in hospitality industry.
