Studying aquatic organisms in fresh water, valuable fishes, studying aquatic organisms in blackish water and any marine environment are utilized by the fisheries science. Fishery science draws the discipline of fishing technology including the seamanship and navigation, craft and gear engineering, fisheries management and economics, marine engines and fisheries extension. Aqua Science and Aquaculture are comparable to Fishery Science. Under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, fisheries Science is one of the departments.
