The nature of work of the agriculture science graduates varies with the different specializations available within the field agricultural science:-

Agricultural Engineer :- They deal with farm equipment, agriculture machinery and power , soil and water conservation , rural electrification and other technical aspects of farming as well as in production of farm products.

Agricultural Officer - The agriculture officer handles all the developmental schemes relating to agricultural crops, seeds and yields as well as fixes targets and does type monitoring.

Agricultural Scientist - The work of agriculture scientist involves developing better and good quality seeds which have great resistance against pests and diseases and are high yielding.

Thy can find employment in agriculture finance by joining organizations like NABARD ( National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development). Landscapes and horticulturists are hired by health farms, hotels and holiday resorts to beautify their surroundings. Florists and nursing are doing good business. Research openings are also increasing . One also has an option to take up teaching as profession as well.

Dear Aspirants:

An agriculturist as a student, scientist and academician follow the natural sciences for agricultral benfits. To be an agriculture graduate needs well preparedness in terms of academic and technical extapoures which make them eligible to get enrolled in agricultre sciences at graduate and post-graduate level.
Though one must know the basic requirements or eligibility criterea before knowing what they do as graduate student, try to understand the following points below:

1. One must acquire basic biology at 12th level to join agricultre sciences while agriculture engineering allow the aspirants with maths and biology both at 12th level and for that course structure in agri engineering or agri sciences is designed with elective courses like basic biology or basic maths where the students can make up the missing factor at UG level.

2. As I understood you must me interested in agricultural studies so be prepared for entrance test which is being conducted by Indian Council of Agriculture Research, Minsitry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.
Qulaify the entrance which requires the basic sciences at maths, physics, chemistry, and biology, try to understand with your innovative mind only then you can crack this tough nut which is very competetive due to emerging crowd of interested and non-interested candidtaes.

3. Try to understand the course structure which available online for different ICAR or state level of agriculture universities which offers the B.Sc or M.Sc agriculture sciences or engineering.


4. Agriculture students also follow the same pattern like others--course work which has certian credits semister wise and the CGPA or TGPA is graded in terms of results. Various modules are being taught like animal, plants, fisheries, Soil, Water, Environmental, Agronomy, Agro-climate, Biotechnology-advance molecular studies etc.
5. According to the syllabi you have to opt one course for you project or dissertation which takes certain weeks to months, it is to enrich your practical or experimental knowledge in specialized manner.

6. In routine course and lab work graduate follows the rigorous field work that is known as extensive agricultural research, moreover scientist in making needs to develop the farming temperament to realise the scientific outcome at field level or enduser level otherwise no use of such study which explains in passive manner inside laboratory.
