Hi, Only Universities are entitled to offer Masters degree in Business administration(MBA). All other institutes and educational bodies including IIM's offer Post graduate diploma in business administration. The two qualifications i.e MBA and PGDBM reflect a marked degree of difference but the fact is that course curriculum and the benefits of the programs are more or less the same.
This is a common question rather a common confusion among students. You need to understand that PGD is offered by Institutes recognised by AICTE but not under any Statutory University
