I am a CA and CFP by profession and an educator, career counselor, and life skill trainer by choice. I chose to become a career counselor as I felt the need for getting the correct guidance, and the right advice, and the confusion I saw amongst the students. So just to help with their career-related queries I chose to become a career counselor.

A student or a professional who comes to me for guidance often asks me which career has a good scope. I tell them if I say medicine has a great scope, Do you really want to become a doctor? Can you do it? Just going for the career by looking for its scope. Doesn't make sense. What about your interest? What about your aptitude? What about your personality? So think about that. For that, we have tools available like a Psychometric Assessment test, and then decide for yourself.

A session with me is full of interaction where the student or the professional expresses himself or herself about her or her choices, hobbies, and interest where we interact a lot. We discuss a report or if there is no psychometric assessment done then any particular queries are addressed to and it is full of interaction from both sides.

The psychometric assessment test report is the most important tool I use. Apart from that, I use digital platforms and search engines where I could explain to them or show them different careers or pathways and all.

Success mantra in my life is "It is never too late to start something new if you really want to do it go for it. At least you will never regret that you didn't try.
