Dear Student, being a doctor is a matter of pride because the doctors are considered to be a saviour next to God, thus it is a noble profession. Don't take it that way that the aura in a hospital is gloomy only like people are crying on the death of their dear ones. or praying for their kith and kin involved in an accident, or for a critical condition of their relatives, rather look at the brighter side of this godly profession and believe it that you are going to join it for the sake of welfare to mankind, to serve the humanity and to try your level best to save someone's life. Just make up y
Dear Aspirant,
BSC Life Sciences and Biochemistry are two good subjects you have chosen. Now since you do not expect good qualifying score, it is not at all a reason to get demotivated and discouraged.
Why don't you look for doing BioTechnology / Food Technology course? The scope is increasing and provides good growth opportunities.
Alternatively, you can think to up course in Nutrition or Dietician.
Best wishes

Dear Aspirant,
I am sure that you must have got insights by talking to the Expert Counsellor.
Scope is in every career, but what I always recommend that it is more important to ascertain whether you are capable of doing that career. Your question, what is scope of medicine all over the world is itself not asked by many since due to the very fact that as far as there are humans on this earth, the Doctor is next to God. Therefore, Medicine as a career shall always have scope however at the same time, it is important to become a good doctor and not just a degree of doctor.

Hi There,
Your question, why opt for MBBS, is quite weird.
Since choosing a stream or specialization is completely a personal choice and it cannot be enforced upon the individual.
Perhaps, you like the area of medicine or like to help people, so you may opt for medical.
The specialization you choose, would again depend on the area you would like to work in.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
Dear Aspirant,
MBBS stands for Bachelors in Allopathy Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery. This is an Allopathy medicine course which is around 6 years duration.
The course should be recognised by a University and the Institute/College should be approved by All India Medical Council of India.
MBBS is considered as toughest among other medicine disciplines like Homeopathy, Veterinary, Ayurveda.

Dear Aspirant,
What was the reason for dropping 2 whole years in MBBS? Was it genuine?
Which two years you dropped out? Was it in the middle of the course or just after starting the course?
You need to speak to the collge Principal and he can guide you personally.
Best wishes

And as Dr has rightly said, you cannot make a choice in between 2 different streams
Apart from what dr has suggested, that is undergoing an Aptitude tests. I would also recommend, self introspection. Talk to yourself and make a note as to what are your strengths and interests area. Where do you see yourself working and which field would be the closest.

Hi There,
The only course to be a doctor is pursuing MBBS, to be a general practitioner, by clearing an All India Entrance exam. and other private exams etc. After that, you could pursue a masters degree or MS / MD degree again after giving an entrance exam.
You could also pursue BDS ( Dentistry), which has separate entrance exam. Also possible is pursuing Veterinary Science.
Apart from this you could think of other options like: Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy etc.
Wish you good luck...
Hello There,
Its a still long way to go. But planning is essential. Here I would like you to ask yourself, what you mean by saying, " being a good doctor". What goals have you in mind for your future? How do you see yourself in the future? What aspects do you wish to touch base on?
After class 12th, you would need to appear for the All India medical entrance exam as well as state level entrance exam. Once you clear and ar allocated a seat in a medical college, your journey begins from there.
Pay complete attention to the lectures in college and try to do a lot of research on the topic to get e
Hi Divya,
Firstly why loose hope?
Why this doubt that you may be unable to clear the entrance exam?
If your aim is to be a doctor, come what may, you need to put in all your efforts and see to it that you crack the exam and secure admission into a good medical school. Just be positive and study well. Plan your time in a way that you can prepare for the exam as well as 12th boards.
Since you have asked this question. Please note, you could opt for either:
Physiotherapy
Occupational therapy
Alternate medicines
Para-Medical
Please do not give a second thought on the options I have listed,
