In order to make a career in the Public Banking Sector one needs to give na entrance exams for the post of Clerk and PO exams and also other designations. The candidates who wish to make a career in the SBI bank they need to give an SBI Clerk or PO exams. For other government banks for the post of Clerk and PO IBPS conducts an IBPS Clerk and PO exams.

Earlies for Clerk exam a candidate who has completed 12th with 60% perecentage was eligible for the Clerk exam. But now as per the new notification the Eligibility Criteria are as follows for the PO and Clerk Exams.

Eligibility Criteria-

Bank Clerk-

1. Need to have completed a Graduation degree from any stream except fine arts from any recognised university.

2. Need to be an Indian.

3. Age - 20 to 28 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST;3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.

 

Bank PO officer-

Bank PO is one of the Higher Class I post in the Banking Sector.

1. Need to have completed a Graduation degree from any stream except fine arts from any recognised university.

2. Need to be an Indian.

3. Age - 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST;3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.

 

If you fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria you get eligible to appear for the Bank Clerk and PO exam. I would suggest you to go for the Bank PO exams that will be a good career option for you.
