An air hostess or a flight attendant is a person who helps the passengers on board. This job is usually handled by females all over the world. The air hostesses are also called steward/ stewardess. These people ensure the safety of the passengers. They get special training for the same. Nowadays, flights also serve food and beverages to the passengers.
The cabin crew also learn how to serve these properly to the guests. They are different from the people present in the cockpit such as the pilot or other engineers. They need to qualify certain physical requirements to be able to take up this job. They should have a good height and range to be able to reach the cabin drawers effectively. They should be neat and good looking. Their weight should not exceed the limit set by different airlines. It is different for males and females both. Flight attendants are not allowed to dye their hair with any unnatural colour like purple or blue which may offend any passenger in any way. Also, they should not have any tattoo on any part of their body that is visible to the people sitting on the plane. The hair length of girls should be below the collar bone. Their hair should be neatly combed and properly set. Boys are not allowed to have any beard. If they prefer to keep a moustache, it should be properly trimmed and cut.
Promotion in this field is not an easy task since the completion is increasing day by day. A lot of applicants apply for this job every day. People nowadays, love to travel and this career allows them to do so. Therefore, a lot of them prefer this as a career option.
