Architecture and Engineering are different streams and cannot be compared to arrive at a conclusion of what is the best.

Both are best at their own places.

Whether you are best and for which you are best, is the question you should ask yourself.

Very very difficult to choose.

But here, you need to self introspect,

• Are you a Research oriented person or are you the Visual person
• Does technical know how interests you, or creating structures interests you??

Once clear on these aspects it will help you select.

Though I know your question is on Scope of both the fields, but this question would not arise, if one of them was your strength.

Scope in Architecture is very much increasing with the renewed focus of the Government on Infrastructure spending and growth.
Architects will definitely play an important in the new infrastructure projects.

But never the less, technology is changing every second and demand for the best engineers are also in demand.

Both the fields have immense scope, only if you can be:

• Creative
• Innovative ( Think out of the box)
• Troubleshooter
• Persistent
• Communication skills
• Futuristic

best would be to select a field based on your potentials, so that there is no regret later on, and one can put in more than the efforts required, which makes an easy scope for them in the job market.

Do not make a choice based on demand and market value,. since to excel one needs potentials and interests.
