You have asked me about scope of Diploma in Counselling Psychology. As a counsellor I would suggest that it is not required in your particular case as you are already a qualified doctor. If possible pursue post graduate degree in your discipline or alternatively start your practice. Now a days government is also encouraging alternative medicine field so don't get diverted from your present field. As far as counselling skill is concerned once you start practicing you would acquire it over a period of time.

You can do "Master’s Degree Programme In Counselling And Family Therapy" from IGNOU.
Also, You can do Post graduate diploma in Guidance and Counselling from NCERT.
