Dear Aspirant,
Very good question and I believe every student and parent should know this.
BA as a Bachelor’s degree and BA degree (Hons), are both academic degrees given to undergraduate students. BA (Hons) is much more specialized as compared to the BA (general) degree.
If you want to study some subject in core that is in more detail, it is advisable to go for a BA (Hons) course. But if you want a more balanced and multi-disciplinary approach, it is better to pursue a BA (General) course for under graduation.
The duration of the Honors course may be of four years instead of three years for a general course. The fees for honors course may also be little more.
Best wishes
Dear Shraddha,
I would just like to add to the difference.
A student has to submit a thesis or a project work on the subject of their specialization and give a presentation for them to get their Honor degree. But in general BA or Graduation degree, there is no such requirement too.
Wish you good luck...
