From your question it seems you are completely unaware about the Company Secretary Course.Company Secretary course is a professional course which is completely different from personnel secretary.Don't go with the name of the course by assuming that it means the work of Personnel Secretary.
Company Secretary is a profession that deals with the legal department of the company and looks for all the legal issues and matters of the companies. The Company Secretary course is offered by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India i.e ICSI. On this note my colleague Mr. Anand has explained it very well.

After Graduation one do not need to give the CS Foundation course exam. one can apply directly to CS Executive Programme and after clearing it one can go for CS Professional Programme.
Apart from this the student also needs to go for the internship programmme of 15 months after CS Executive Programme and the IT training also and after that you get eligible to go for CS Professional Programme.

Dear Mayur,
My colleagues have explained the difference between Company Secretary and Personal Secretary as well as process of becoming CS or PS.
I would like to provide information about PS. PS has scope in Government as well as Corporate sector. To become a PS in corporate, you require graduation in any field, knowledge of IT and computer use, short hand and audio typing skills are advantageous. Basic knowledge or fluency in other languages can be favourable. Diploma courses in business management would add value to your job in corporate sector.
You can get Govt job as PS through competitive exams. For government job, govt recognized Computer Concept Course and stenography course is mandatory in addition to graduation.
Now review your strengths, weakness and yoyr career aspirations. Both CS and PS are valuable career options. Of course, CS is reputed job compared to PS.
If you are able to crack CS exam, then go for it. Systematic efforts will help you become CS.
Wish you best wishes for your career,Apurva kumar Pandya, PhD
