Just like any other College, IITs have its own standards and an elaborative method in order to process the new batch of students in order to enroll them in their Management courses. The process is simple and is as same as followed by the many other colleges or by IIMs. The first step of selection process is CAT exam which is the common entrance test that is conducted as a screening phase for almost every MBA institution in India. After that on the basis of the cut off list from the CAT score, the process of filling of online admission forms goes live. The selected applications from that phase are then later selected for Group discussions and Personal Interviews which are considered to be last piece of the puzzle and on the basis of the performance in these rounds the final students are selected for the MBA from IITs.

As we all are familiar with the values and mission of IITs and understand the reputation IITs hold, it is important to know that the industry is full of people from IITs and with such a diverse alumni the importance of choosing IIT as an option to pursue to a full time marketing and sales course is very high and is preferred to purse a marketing course from the IITs.
