Yes, girls can join Indian Air Force through AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission test) and CDS (Combined Defense Services) exams. Air Force Common Admission test: You can join flying, technical and ground duty branch through this examination. Bachelor's degree in technology with minimum 60% is required from a recognized university for flying and technical branch and for ground duty branch, bachelor's degree in any discipline is required from a recognized university. Age limit for Flying branch should lie between 19-23 years, for technical branch it should be between 18-28 years and for ground duty branch it should be between 20-28 years. AFCAT is conducted twice every year. For more details, visit www.careerairforce.nic.in. Combined Defense Services exam: Only unmarried female candidates can apply for CDS examination, the candidates with bachelor's degree in science with mathematics and physics can apply for the exam.
