Amit, I am not sure about Navy part but I can tell about Software Development. If you are not in programming (while working in Navy), you'll have to work hard to get your first job. And in case, you are into s/w development (while in Navy), every software company would like to hire you. Also, you need to be very selective about what all programming you want to do
