Dear Shelly,
I would like to know which year of Engineering are you in and in which city you are located? Event management certainly requires more field work as well as working in late hours outside home, however other options like fashion designing, performing arts, fine arts, graphic designing, craft designing and so on do not necessarily require you top move out of your comfort zone. Once that is known we can discuss on the most suitable option of choosing an institute for you. If you want me to suggest a specific solution, please give specific details about present scenario and future priorities. You might choose to call or mail me in case you want a more detailed discussion.
Hello Shelly!
Its great blessing to have so many talents and more importantly to recognize them. While knowing about these creative bent, one needs to know the reason for you to choose Btech and what stopped you from pursuing other courses like Fashion design as you have mentioned. Which year of Btech are you in? Probably we can figure out the best options for you under the given circumstances once we know your priorities and present (social?) pressures.
Good to find confidence building up in your tone!
It's good to know that a girl of your age is well aware of herself. Since you know what you are capable of doing I suggest don't waste time. With all above mentioned traits you would surely be successful & happy if you pursue a career in mass communication. There are various institutes in India which offers PG courses in mass communication but if you really want to sure of placements and secure career that do your Post graduation in mass comm from Institutes like MICA, Ahmedabad ( PGDM Communication) , IIMC Delhi or you can do MBA HR from reputed B-Schools. Start preparing for entrance exams right now but on any day Mudra is the best option for you. I would like say one thing here take a right decision or spend your whole life in proving that your decision was right. GOOD LUCK. WRITE TO ME IN CASE YOU NEED ANY FURTHER GUIDANCE AT [email protected]
As I read your 1st query again, I see as you are in Btech 3rd year, I suggest you must complete your degree in Engineering, while you still have 1 year to go.. in that 1 year, you must prepare for a masters level course in the filed of your interest. A career shift and to get into a good college for higher education would require preparation on portfolio preparation front as well as serious thought about selection of right college - and you are lucky to realize what you want to do at just the right time as such preparation will need about a year
I would suggest you to push yourself a little more into engineering and complete your graduation at least before jumping onto your passion area. I know you have realised this late, but you should complete your graduation, which is very near to complete. In the society, you should be a graduate.
Then after graduation you can definitely pursue your passion and achieve your dreams.
Best wishes.
