Its good to hear that you have been planning to make a career in the CS field. Company secretary career is a good career choice in the current situation in the near future. CS is gaining a lot of importance and value . It has become one of the first career choice option amongst the students these days. After CA and CMA as a career option student has been thinking to make a career in the CS field on a greater side these days. You have not mentioned what you have been doing currently . If you would have mentioned your current qualification that would have made easier to answer your career query very well.
There are two ways to apply for the CS course depending on the qualification you hold. The first way is you can apply for the CS course right after your completing your 12th from any of the stream i.e commerce, arts or science except fine arts. In order to take an admission for the CS course you need to register with the ICSI institutes chapter nearby to you. After 12th a students need to give a CS Foundation exam which is a qualifying exam for the CS course. On completing the CS foundation you get eligible for the next level i .e CS Executive course Group I and II and on passing the CS Executive group you get eligible to apply for the CS Final exam. In this way in 3 stages you can complete your CS course after 12th. The other way to apply for the CS course is after completing your graduation except from fine arts. You get eligible to apply for the CS Executive exam directly on the completion of the Graduation completion you do not need to give a CS Foundation exam. The CS exams are conducted twice in a year i.e in the month of June and December. You can apply for any of the cycle as per your wish. While in order to get a good career scope you should also have a Law degree i.e LLB . You can apply for the 5 years Law course after 12th or for 3 years course after graduation. Many of the companies they demand for the Law degree along with the CS qualification.
