Electrical Engineer:

Electrical Engineering is one of those Engineers which are required in any industry. I would say that Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers are those who are required in every project and play a very critical and indespensible part in project or tasks.

Today Electrical Engineers are not just working for electrical work in companies. Today the infrastructure and construction sector is changing and becoming highly professional in management as well as business environment wise.

In my more than seven years of career counselling experience, I have always told engineering students that apart from the core engineering domain knowledge and expertise the industry today is demanding some thing more from engineers and that some thing more is Project Management knowledge.

Project Management is a key area today for engineers with the help of which Engineers can progress in thier career.

After your engineering, if you do a course in Project Management, then with combination of your electrical engineering, you can contribute in the Project Management aspects of a project. Today Project Management skills are absent in infrastructure and construction industry and the industry is requiring engineers to learn this aspect.

For progressing really in five years, you must definitely do a good course in Project Management preferably which is a full time post graduate course for long term career progress and development.

I am sure you will think about this.

All the Best!
