In today’s advanced age and fast-paced times, the value and importance of doing a professional course is increasing day by day. Doing a professional course is an easy way of being successful in life. Professional courses include specialization in a particular field and their aim is to impart a detailed knowledge of that particular field in, students. Students often believe that it is risky to do a professional course as professional courses are a bit costly than other courses and they require more time and energy of a student.

Students often fear that if they pursue a professional degree course, then they would be required to indulge all time in that professional course and they would not be able to do any other course at that time. They also feel that in case they fail to do well in that professional course, then their entire career will come to a halt. LLB is the bachelor’s degree of Law. A career in the field of law is a very well-known and lucrative option for those who wish to excel in life. LLB is a very high-in-demand professional course these days. As we all know that law is the base of the functional and regulatory system of a country. So, the demand of lawyers is increasing day by day to a great extent.

The total duration of LLB is three years. LLB can also be done in the form of integrated undergraduate degree courses like BA LLB, BSc LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB. The duration of LLB's integrated undergraduate courses is five years. Doing integrated course for the law is a much better option than first doing graduation and then pursuing LLB as it saves a full year of a student.

 

Anyone who is interested in doing the integrated course of law can take admission in the five-year integrated course of law just after the completion of class 12th.

 

 

Usually, admission to law courses including LLB is given through a written examination, like the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). A student is required to clear the law entrance exam to get admission into LLB.

LLB includes the study of subjects like, Business law, Competition law, Legal Method, Legal Language, Family Law, Law of Contract, Law of torts and consumer protection, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes, Code of civil procedure, Advocacy Skills, Law of Evidence, International Law, Jurisprudence, Human rights law, Property, Investment and competition law, Code of Criminal Procedure, Public international law etc.

Why LLB?

LLB is a career option having very wide scope and bright future prospects. After LLB, a person can easily opt for the post graduation level course of LLB, i.e., LLM.  LLB graduates are free to become lawyers at the Central or State Government. After doing LLB, one can also work as legal advisor for firms, families or organizations. Law graduate generally choose to work as lawyers.

But apart from being lawyers, LLB graduate can also work easily in banks, business houses, educational institutions, legal consulting agencies, sales and excise departments and so on. Law graduates also have the option of giving coaching of law to the law students. A law graduate can work as a Solicitor General and Public Prosecutor.
