Dear Divya,
It is nice that you decided to take your education to the next realm.
As you have decided upon distance learning mode, there are somethings you need to keep in mind
You need to secure 55% for your post graduation, it is a 2 year course and some institutes have entrance examination as selection criteria.
Some of the universities which offer m.phil in English through distance education mode are:
Alagappa University
Annamalai University
Central Institute Of English And Foreign Languages
Kakatiya University
Kurukshetra University
Madurai Kamaraj University
Mother Teresa Women' rel="nofollow"s University
Tamilnadu Open University
Vardhaman mahaveer open univeristy
Acharya Nagarjuna Univeristy
Madras university
Now that UGC has lift bans on distance P.hD and M.Phil programs, you can go ahead with it.
Before enrolling into the program please counter check and validate the recognition of the course by the UGC.
For further information please visit http://www.ugc.ac.in/deb/ UGC' rel="nofollow"s distance education bureau link
Hope this helps

Dear Aspirant,
MPhil is a good option to further your education, only if you are thinking for a career in teaching. MPhil through distance learning is not recommended if you are not working anywhere. I suggest that on the basis of MA English, you first appear for NET / SET exam since MPhil will take atleast one year to complete. If you clear NET / SET exam, instead of MPhil, I would suggest you to pursue PhD directly.
PhD is very essential compared to MPhil for a long term career in teaching.
Best wishes
