Why dont you go for Merchant Navy then? Getting selected is good and I think you should once again think for that.
Engineering is required in Navy and that too Mechanical.
Various areas in which Mechanical Engineers can work are: thermal power, Oil & gas, air conditioning and refrigeration industry, oil and gas exploration and refining industry, aviation companies, shipping industries, aerospace industry, armed forces, automobile industry, manufacturing, industrial automation, etc.
