Hello Ankit,
Knowing ones deficiency is the first step towards improvement. In terms of quantitative ability you must at the moment focus on knowing the concepts. Stress on understanding and solving all problems with the help of the professor and or friends. Once concepts are clear, finding shortcuts wont be an issue.which can be developed later.
As far as verbal ability is concerned, reading and communicating is the only solution. Read a passage and in a gist summarise what you understood. Try making a word and meaning chart and carry it with you wherever you go and during free time like say travelling, focus on mastering few words.
Practice is the key to crack competitive exams.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
Dear Aspirant,
Now that you know you are very weak in quantitative techniques and verbal ability too, do you really feel, that you will be able to crack the toughest exam like CAT with good percentile?
The only option to sort out this issue is to introspect why at all you are thinking of doing MBA. Do you think that if MBA not done, there wont be companies offering you jobs?
You will be able to get admission to a very average or below average MBA college in India, but would that be sufficient and would that give you good jobs? I think you are thinking that MBA degree will open doors of companies and you will get a job by showing the certificate. Remember that there are thousands who apply for a single position.
