Hi Nila it sounds good to know that you completed engineering and working also in automation testing that's really great so what is the thing which is making you feel that you don't like your job and your life as you did engineering with your choice also opted for job with your choice also so what is troubling you try to figure it out first.
Hi Nila,
Its good that you completed Engineering and working. Then, yes coming to your question,I could understand that you don't like working in service based company or working in automation testing or both.So basically you need career change.
Ok.I will help you my level best. But you did not tell me many details like
1)what kind of profile you want to work?
2)Which industry you want to work?
3)Your age and years of work experience?
4)What skillsets you have?
5)Are you inetersted in further studies?
Without knowing this,I cant answer you my dear friend.roughly,I can say you either prepare for CAT and do MBA so that you may go to management field.Or,you can learn programmingh languages like C,C++ and other required stuff so that you can go to developer role(preferably in product based company), or prepare for any Central/state Govt exam or do M.E., part time continuing your automation testing job and then become asst.Prof in any engg college then do your Ph.d
It all depends on your interest and skill sets.So please answer my questions so that I can help you better
All the best
Gone are the days when an engineering degree meant the completion of academics, and the beginning of professional life. You have just gained an entry ticket to the professional world, and the opportunities to change direction are all open.
Consider a post graduate degree in a field that you love. MBA is the commonest choice, but it can take you to other fields of management. If you have a sharp academic brain, and a flair for research, MS/MTech and PhD is the way ahead.
If none of this sounds like you, change direction completely. A change is not easy, and one has to invest considerable effort. But rest assured, make a deliberate choice at every step, and you will land in the life that you wanted. If you go with the flow, it takes you to zones you did not want to be in.
Dear Aspirant,
Your question is very low sounding. Why are you so upset and fedup that you wish to look for other career options. It appears that you chose Engineering at the first step not on a good and strong thinking. You completed your engineering may be since you needed to complete that.
What is that you don't like in your job? Is it the job profile or boss or company culture or salary or stagnancy? You will have to be very specific and confident about your answer since that would be the base for further consultation by me and steps ahead.
Changing the field from engineering to some other will be risky since you experience and qualification would be treated as of no use and you will be treated as a fresher. You might also have to learn entirely new thing from the start which will take more efforts, money and time.
I suggest that you should find out whats troubling you in the job and life as a whole.Chaning the company might help.
Best wishes
ss
