After BA Economics, the best progression further would be MA Economics. It is unlikely that you will get good jobs based on your economics graduation degree. An MA Economics from a premier Institute like Delhi School of Economics, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Madras School of Economics, Symbiosis School of Economics, would be best one for you since after this, you can get good jobs in banks, financial institutions and market research companies.
As far as the one year or six months courses which would compliment Economics graduation are of Statistics, Econometrics, Finance, Actuarial Science.
An MBA in Finance from a premier Institute is also another best option.
