That is not true. The writers are not restricted to their desks only. They have to do many other things as well.

  • Writers have to go to the different places in order to do their research and get the factual information.
  • Writers often travel to various places to get their inspiration.
  • While working on a project, writers have to coordinate with editors and other team members in order to complete the story.
  • They conduct a number of interviews as well. Therefore they will have to go to that particular place.
  • Even when writing they sit on their desk. But even that trend is changing. A number of writers these days write in coffee shops, while traveling and in different locations
. Technology has given them the advantage to stay connected to their team all the time.
  • Writers often have to attend literary events where they get an opportunity to meet other writers.
  • They stay in touch with other writers and exchange their ideas frequently.
  • Quite often they work on developing their writing style. For that purpose they take courses from various institutions.
