Hmmm.

It is a common confusion, but currently I am confused as to how to help you, since you have not been specific at all, as in what are you currently doing, what do you wish to pursue, which is the area of interetss or an interesting subject and so on.

Once you specifically say me something I can guide you.

So it would be best if you could do a self introspection as to check out according to you and your close people what are your strengths or what comes naturally to you.
You can choose on the basis of the subjects you are good at or extra curricular you are best at.

If still confusion persists then opt for a career counseling or an Aptitude tests session.
The Aptitude tests will help you realize what are your acquired intelligence in terms of 5 areas, namely Logic, Numerical, Language, Mechanical and Designing or visualization.

Assuming you are in class 10th, You have the following options:
  • Diploma: If you are a Practical and on the hand job person. As well as if you wish to know a course in details without entering a degree, then diploma is a better option. Diploma is offered in Engineering, Designing, pharmacy and computers.
  • Science: If you are a reasoning and analytical person and very muchinterestedin knowing functions directly, then is thestream for you. Options available are Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Para-Medical, Food technology, Robotics, Gaming etc
  • Commerce: Ifnumericalcome to you easily and you love playing with numbers, this is your stream. Options available areB.Com, Accounting, Financial an d stock markets, CA, CFA, Actuarial sciences, economists
  • ARTS: If you are the creative and imaginary person and if reasoning is your capacity, this is your stream. When we talk of reasoning in ARTS, options like Psychology, Sociology, Political Sciences works good.
Though the criteria mentioned are very much generic, please dont take it as an ultimate ways to choose a stream.
You can opt for a course based on what your liking's are and based on your potentials.

Other generic options includes:
Post 12th:
  • Management: BMS // BBA, both areundergraduatemanagementcourses which deals with basic management ideas
  • Designing: This includes Product designing, Interior, fashion, web designing, Automobile designing etc.
  • Mass-Media: Popularly known as BMM, a 3 yearsundergraduatecourse, whereby you learn the basics of media right fromAdvertisement to journalism to Public relations.
  • Computers: BCA or a B.Sc IT program, which will basically expose you to the hardware and softwarefunctioningofcomputers, though BCA is more application oriented. For both the fields Math is an important criteria.

These are just mentioned in brief.

Please do write back to us if you are looking out for something specific.

Wish you good luck...........
