If you are a new brokers there are a number of challenges that lie in your way. Before you establish yourself as a broker, it remains quite a hectic work schedule. After that, life gets comfortable. You can choose whenever you want to work. Typically it takes 5-10 years for an individual to establish as a broker. A stock broker works on following activities in day to day work:

  Stock brokers have to show up early at office. Generally one or two hours before the market opens. This gives them ample time to do the reasearch, browse the news and happenings around the world and get themselves ready for the market uncertainties.

  They have to plan the day as per their analysis and predictions about how the market is going to behave on that particular day.

  They meet their clients for recommendations of their portfolios.


• 
  It's a fast paced work. They have to keep their eyes on the market and quickly respond to that. It requires enormous physical activities, good presence of mind and quick communication.

  They also make new contacts by getting in touch with potential clients. This gives them a good opportunity to widen their reach and establish themselves.


• 
  They keep a regular check on the market behavior and accordingly assist their clients in making the investments.


• 
  They have to respond to the emails, phone calls throughout the day.


• 
  The have to do a lot of paper work.


• 
  When they find some time, they attend seminars, make phone calls to clients and interact with people to build their reputation.
