Public Relations is a Profession where a person needs to play the major role of communication.Public Relations are the people who continuously communicate with the people of various different fields. People who have excellent communication skills can have a great career in the field of Public Relations. There has been various sector where Public Relations people are required.A public Relation person can work in IT companies,Advertising Agencies,Marketing Companies,Event Management etc.
The Public relations person has to play different roles in different sector i.e their work structure is different in different industries.For example:- A PR person working in IT company needs to do the technical communication and do the branding of the IT products while a PR person working with Brand Management needs to work for the Marketing of the FMCG product in order to get their targeted audience.
In order to start a career in PR one needs to be a graduate from any discipline and than one can go for a diploma or post-graduate diploma or certificate course and than one can go for the PR Career.
In order to get a handsome emolument i would suggest you while you are pursuing your PR course go for the Internship because this will fetch you a practical experience by the time you are completing your course.After completing course the person joins as the Public Relations Executive and he is paid around 15000-20000 per month.While if you have done an MBA than you are paid around 30000 as a Junior executive.Furthermore in next 2-3 years with experience and skills one becomes Sr.PR Executive and can earn around Rs.40000 P.M. After 2-3 years this the person becomes Manager and can earn around 50000 -60000 P.M and than around after 5-6 years one can become Sr.Manager and can earn around 70000-80000 and furthermore one can become a CEO or Director and can get the salary around 1 Lakh or above.
So in next five years you can see yourself as an Sr.Manager of Public Relations.
There has been a great demand for the PR people on News channel on different channels like Shares and stock Channels etc.
