Lets move into your query now.

Becoming a researcher? Great aspiration and ambition. A researcher is a highly prestigious role and one of the biggest academic and professional achievement. A researcher innovates new things and also explore old things to innovate it into new functions. A research is done by either a professor or a senior corporate person. A Professor is someone who has a PhD and works at colleges and universities to do both teaching and research. A senior corporate electronic engineer can also perform research at his company. If you dont want to do teaching, you can work at corporates. If you love teaching, you can choose to work at colleges and universities. To become a researcher in electronics you have two routes to take.

One is studying a MSc/ Mtech or a ME in Electronics engineering: WIth a Masters degree you can work for companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Microsoft at their electronic research departments. You also have good options with central govt jobs in India like the Baba Atomic research centre, ISRO, IISC Bangalore and many more. WIth a Masters degree you can work at the national research laboratories.

Alternatively you can also go to the second option, to do a PhD in Electronic engineering. This will also qualify you for posts as a researcher in colleges/ universities, big blue chip companies or the MNC's, and central govertment and state government research labs. India is well grown in electronic engineering and you have high scope. You can also work at manufacturing companies like Godrej, Car manufacturing companies like Ford, Hyundai, and two wheeler companies like TVS, Hero honda at their electronics research division. In case your focus is to do a phD and work at universities then you should have completed a Masters and then written UGC-NET, GATE scores for pHd admission.

The profile of a researches is one of the prestigious role and to perform it one my have to be dedicated in his/her college.

To become a researcher firstly you have to pursue master’s in Electronic Sciences.  After pursuing masters you will have to qualify one of the most famous eligibility test called UGC NET.

The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam for those who wish to pursue their career in research and teaching fields.

If you qualify the UGC NET JRF then UGC will provide you the certificate that will help you to get the research work in various laboratories.
