There is no hard and fast rule which says that only students who had a commerce background in school can opt for a course like BBA. Science students who wish to carve a career in the management and business world are welcome to take up BBA as well.

BBA Admission procedure
In order to get an admission to a course like BBA, candidates need to appear for entrance exams to prove that they possess enough understanding of the concepts and ideas which they are going to study throughout BBA. The entrance test is conducted at national, state or university level by various authorities.
To be qualified for entrance tests, applicants should pass their 10+2 or equivalent senior secondary examinations. The eligibility criteria for entrance exams may differ from one university to another but the average benchmark is that the candidate should have at least50% and above marks in their 10+2.

Various institutes permit admission to BBA course on the basis of merit list. UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) is a national level examination regulated by All India Management Association (AIMA) for providing admissions in BBA, Bachelor of Hotel Management(BHM)etc.

AIMA UGAT: Conducted in both online and offline mode, this test screens candidate on the parameters of numerical and data analysis, English language skills, general awareness and reasoning in objective type question format.
Symbiosis EntranceTest(SET):This common written test is organized for admission to UG courses of the Symbiosis University and its constituents Institutions. It's mandatory to attempt this exam to gain admission to BCA. Upon passing the entrance exam, candidate has to clear the Personal InteractionandWriting Ability Test(PI-WAT).
IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test): Organized by Guru Gobind Singh University, the CET is also conducted for admissions to Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Business Administration (Computer Aided Management) and Bachelor in Business Administration (Banking & Insurance).
Delhi University: The University will conduct entrance exams for professional courses such asBachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and BBA.
