Hello there! I am glad that you approached CareerGuide for seeking career guidance and I am sure that experts here will be definitely help you out. I have been an educationist and have been couselling students for more than 7 years now and have been into teaching and writing on career management for many years now.
Your question is really unique and yes, confusing for you too. It's always a tough time taking career decision especially when they are of different stream and different career way. I congratulate you that you have chosen Arts field and you wish to continue in the same for your career. also you in the second year of your painting degree and suppose that you are still one year to go and you have decided to think of your future well in advance. Basically you will agree that painting and music are very different and distinct fields which require distinct and different capabilities as well. Since you have asked which one will be 'safe' for girls, I would suggest both or any one of them can be 'safe' for girls. In fact, I would suggest that both can be done simultaneously by you. However if you wish to choose one of them, then you would require self introspection and I would suggest you to under go psychometric test which is also available from CareerGuide.com. This test will help you finalise and realise what strengths you have and which option will be best suited to you. Music is a very big career option and painting too and both require skills, creativity, hard work and resilience, patience to get success and good self career opportunities. Also would like to make it clear that its not that only girls are suited for such options but boys too. I am not understanding what do you mean by 'safe' career option. There is no concept of 'safe' career option in this world. I think you speaking 'convenient' career option. but hard work, studies and practice are all required for any career option. Therefore I would suggest you to think for a psychometric test and go ahead. Best Luck.
