Company Secretary is a professional who handles the legal issues, liasoning and other legal matters of the companies. As per the companies act it has become on the companies to appoint a certified CS. CS have become an integral part of the Companies same like CA and CMA. Earlier CS was not having much scope and demand but recently CS has got a great scope and demand in the country. Every year around 1 Lakh Certified CS are required in the country.
A student from any stream after 12th can apply for the CS course. Whereas the other option for the students to take an admission for the CS is after completing Graduation degree. In order to get an admission after Graduation you need to register with the ICSI chapter. You can visit to the nearby CS Chapter and register their yourself. The students who take an admission for the CS course after Graduation they are eligible to apply for the CS Executive exam they do not need to give CS Foundation Exam . While for CS Executive exam they can apply for the subject exemptions for the subjects that they have studied in their Graduation degree for this you can check for the procedure with the CS chapter.
In industry students who have a Law degree i.e LLB along with CS qualification they have a demand and are given first preference. So while you are pursuing your CS also apply for the Law course . Law and CS makes a great combination and gives you good career move.
