After graduation many a times students they prepared to for the further education or they pick up a job is completely the choice of the student what they wish to do. After graduation student can take a job in the private sector or in the public sector if a student wants to make a career in the government sector he can apply for the civil service examination. A civil service examination is the consider as the taffest exam in the world. CSE exam if conducted by the UPSC commission for the recruitment of the post of the administrative services, forgain services, revenue services, engineering services etc. that comes under the central government of India. Student who has completed his graduation degree either from arts, commerce and science is eligible for the civil service exams. The civil service exams can be also given by the students who is in the last year of the graduation degree. As you have a gap in your graduation degree still you can apply for the civil service exam. The gap in your graduation does not matter to apply for the civil service exam. Only you should meet the age criteria as prescribe by the UPSC commission. The age criteria is as follows the candidate should be between the age of 21 years to 32 years for general category 35 years for OBC category and 37 years for SC/ST category . There are restrictions for the number of attempts to the exam. A general candidate can attempt the exam for 6 times, 9 attempts for OBC and unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates.
