Dear Friend !
Thanks for visiting at CareerGuide.com!!!
You are living in a dynamic era where global market is offering the jobs and revolutionizing the economy which help the professionals to opt the career path accordingly. Never think in that way as you have the perplexity in choosing the govt. job or private job and vis-a-vis exploring the other option to complement your present situation, never mind, please do not think multiple options at time spend time at one go and incubate it as much as possible which will reward you monitory as well as skill wise also. I have nothing to say that true professionalism is found only in corporate sector and to govt sector is only assuring your life with full security and benefits for not doing anything. Why I am raising the question because I also live in the same society and understand the mindset and temperament behind the blind chase of govt job where govt is also helpless in generating the job as compare to private. If you see the USA placement model, academic institutions you will find people are happy and having unlike feeling for private verses govt job.
I know this is your compulsive move and I must suggest you certain pathways which will help you to shape up your career:1. I do not know your specialization at b.tech level though i will say several industrial jobs are available in private, PSU as well as govt sector. So first you join at entry level engineers and acquire the experience.2. At the same time you see the possibilities for academic advancement at MBA level or something related to international workshop or international fellowship which can help your higher study at M.Tech and Ph.D level. Many options are open online just give an honest trial. After joining any good firm or industry you will be graduated by interaction with your esteemed colleagues also regarding the bright future that is why one tries to join the best organization where you earn and learn simultaneously with the mutual approach. 3. Many e-learning programs are offering you best suited education basket like SYMBIOSIS ( www.symbiosis.ac.in/), IGNOU ( www.ignou.ac.in/), MANIPAL ( www.manipal.edu/), AMITY ( www.amity.edu/) etc just explore the website and opt out your interest you will be benefited. For more details you can contact us directly.BestDr. Manoj
Hello There,
Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.com!!!
Preparing for govt jobs seems good based on your B.Tech degree and I also liked your attitude to gain some more skills and competencies by doing something simultaneously along with your studies for govt exma entrance tests. I am glad that you approached CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance.
Since you have not specified your specialization in your B.Tech, it will be a little difficult to advice you but I will advice assuming some things.
Since you are aiming for Govt jobs, I would like to suggest you to appear for very good positions in Govt jobs and not aim for just a govt job, since just an average givt job wont give you job satisfaction and you will get frustrated fast and remain disappointed.
if you are preparing for high level designation jobs in govt sector, then I would suggest you to FULLY CONCENTRATE on your preparations for the entrance tests of the govt department, since always remember there are LAKHS who are applying to the govt job advertisement and you will have to prove yourself different and more competent in those lakhs of applicants. Only if you are able to defeat them, you will be able to get a govt job and not other wise. Therefore it is important to prepare well and doing other things like other courses, etc will divert you and your attention and will make you focus and spend more time in actual preparation of your entrance tests and interviews.
If you are interested in studies, then I would suggest you to do your post graduation and then apply for govt jobs since after post graduation you will be more competent to face the govt job selection criteria.
Best Luck
