Introduction

An Orthopedic surgeon also recognized as Orthopedist is a medical expert specialized in treatment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders (disorders related to muscles, joints, discs, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, nerves, and bones) that range from dislocations, joint degeneration and fractures to bursitis, torn ligament, and sprains. Apart from these general diseases, these experts are also liable and accountable to treat diseases such as spinal disorders, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, arthritis, tendonitis, osteoporosis, tendon injuries or strains, bone tumors and much more.

An Orthopedist is capable of treating broken or fractured bones or any other kind of sports or accident injuries using both surgical and non-surgical methods and help her/his patients to get back to their normal everyday activities. In elderly patients suffering severely from joint disorder, an Orthopedist is capable of replacing the whole joint by an artificial one. They perform physical exams, prepare therapeutic plans and design treatment to provide proper and needed care for their patients.
