The zoologist is a person or scientist, who study the behavior of animals. If anyone is good at science, wants to know about the animals and their environment then this the good subject. The nature of job of a zoologist is:
developing and testing new drugs improving agricultural crops for the livestock disease and pest control of animals conserving endangered habitats and animal species animal welfare and education developing policies and enforcing regulations for the conservation of animals and their environment for the government agencies
There are many specializations in zoology subject, depending upon which the zoologist gets a suitable job. Mainly the zoologist work in governmental sectors such as colleges, universities, research institutes, and governmental laboratories, wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, government zoos, and in forest department. In Colleges, universities the zoologist work as an academician and involved in teaching and research. IN teaching interacting with students, colleagues, seniors and some times clients. Here the key areas of work are teaching (graduates, post graduates, and PhD students), supervising master degree and doctoral degree students.
Besides these jobs the routine inter and infra departmental meetings with colleagues and seniors regarding official (exams, quality control, purchase, administration, admission, research aspects and many more) purpose.
Besides this normal routine there are other work (key areas) where a zoologist also work;
Carrying out field and laboratory research workStudying the animals in their natural environment and in captivity. This leads to the behavior study of the animals.Identifying , monitoring and recording animal speciesGathering information related to animals and interpreting itUsing complex procedures and computerized molecular and cellular analysis and in vitro fertilization of the animalswriting and submitting detailed technical reportsgiving presentations and publishing information (review articles, research publications) in journals and books,supervising and training technicians.The working hours are 7 to 8 hrs per day. The zoologist also work in zoos and in circus also to look after the animals.Mostly the zoologist work in governmental organization.
