Dear friend, thank your or your question and I am happy to answer your query through MereaCareerGuide. Here you have not mentioned you qualifications or in which class you are studying.

Let me first tell you about the nature of job of a zoologist, then you will understand the qualifications to become a zoologist.

The zoologist study animals and their behavior. If you are good at science, interested in animals, want to know more about them, this could be an ideal job for you. To become a zoologist, you will need to be able to carry out detailed work in an accurate and organized way. You will need patience and the ability to concentrate for long periods. You will also need strong communication and IT skills.

To become a zoologist, you will usually need a post graduate degree in a subject such as zoology, animal ecology, animal behavior or animal conservation. The certification program will not help you to become a zoologist. The reason being, a zoologist is a technical person. Therefore, a person holding higher degrees such as MSc and PhD will be able to called as zoologist.

The main job responsibilities of a zoologist are as;

These all things are being taught during graduation, post graduation courses, and not in any certification course. Therefore, to become a zoologist a higher degree is must.

The zoologist can also be involved in conservation, protecting endangered animals and their habitat.

As a part of their job, the zoologist may find themselves organizing studies of animals in their natural habitat, studying specimens under microscopes, writing reports, publishing data in peer reviewed national and international journals.

Besides the above work, one must be working on making presentations, and must have problem solving skills.

A person having the aptitude of observe, study and analyze the animal behavior and their life cycle.
