You are saying that you have been graduated in B-Pharm. Then you are eligible to appear for the IAS exam in the first place. You have to start your preparation as early as possible. Civil Services exam (CSE), i.e. IAS exam is conducted in three stages, namely, Prelims Test which is objective one, Mains exam with descriptive nature where you have to write long answers and finally the third stage is Personality Test. First upon you need to read the syllabus for this exam which invariably is inclined toward humanity subjects like History, Geography, Economy, Polity and Ethics which come under the General Studies. There is an Optional subject for Mains exam which you have to choose from the given list. Have a look on previous year’s exam papers which will help you to realize how questions have been asked. Yours is a Pharmaceutical stream but this subject is not listed there in the list of the optional subject where Medical Science has been listed along with humanity subjects like Economy, Sociology, etc. So you have to choose from other subjects as an optional subject which you find yourself comfortable with. GS papers are compulsory for all. There is one Aptitude paper along with GS at the Preliminary stage which tests you for reasoning, basic arithmetic, comprehension and mental ability.
