Hey Dear,


One of the most frequently asked question and for that matter the most genuine question. Everyone has this urge to know about the salary that he or she would be getting and also some of the average salary package that one can expect to get as well.

But to be true the average salary package that one can expect after completing the 4 year software degree course is around 3 Lakhs but remember that it is not always true and it might vary depending on how much you have cleared the papers and how well you have done in the 4 years of the exam.
Also remember that there are many other criteria along with it. As many a times most of the company have a set criteria that you have to be eligible for.


Many a times they say that you should have minimum 6 CGPA and sometimes they every say that you should not have a back in all the years which is also an added advantage for you. So try and maintain both of the things.

Also many a times good companies will ask you to sit for the Aptitude and Reasoning test which you will have to qualify after which there is Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Also your salary package depends on how well you fair in all the rounds as well.

Software engineers are responsible for designing, developing, implementing and testing computer based hardware and software. including the components that are found inside computer equipment, as well as actual devices that contain computers and the software that runs on those machines. they may also design network that connects computer systems, and work on integrating software programs with computer hardware.

To become Software Engineer, you will typically require a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities or Required Technical Skills:
Since the Computer engineering field is quite broad, the required technical skills listed in the job postings you may come across will vary, depending on whether the job is more hardware of software focused, which industry the employer belongs to. Typically, you will need to have followings:


1. An understanding of the particular computer hardware architecture you will be working with
2. Experience designing, coding and testing softwares
3. Familiarity with Software Test Procedures or Scripts
4. Experience building your own PC system
5. Understanding of different Operating Systems, including Windows and Linux, and how certain types of software will work with them
6. Experience with Device Drivers
7. Understanding of Networking and Security
8. Understanding of the (Sometimes specialized) software that is typically used in a particular industry.
9. Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java and other Object-Oriented programming languages.

Software Engineers usually use Computer-assisted software engineering, or CASE, tools to automate the process. they also test, debug and update the programs

Other Crucial Skills:
Since Computer engineers work closely with programmers, designers, product developers, and testers, they really need to have strong interpersonal and communications skills, as well as the ability to work in a team.
