500+ Career Options
1M+ Test Taken
Hi Shabnam,
MBA & MTech both are totally different course. MBA & MTech both are master degree 2 yrs duration programs but MBA is non technical management study whereas MTech is technical study. If you are very good in technical subject during your BTech & if you are interested to study technical subject in future and you want to work in technical field then go for MTech program. To take admission in MTech you have to appear in GATE Examination. If you can clear GATE Examination then only you can take admission in a good institution with a subject which is very interesting in your BTech syllabus. For technically strong students MTech is a better option than MBA. If you’re not so much strong in technical subject and if you’re not interested to study technical subject and want to study something different or want to work in different field other than technical then MBA is a good option for you. To get admission in MBA course you have to appear in CAT, XAT, MAT, etc. entrance examinations. Clear these examinations with a good percentile, then you will get chance to take admission in top B-Schools.
But you should not choose any course from these only based on the salary structure. You should choose your career option on the basis of your interest. I would suggest you to take Ideal Career Test at CareerGuide.com and this test will suggest you which career option is better for you in which you can perform better. This test is totally depend on your Interest, Aptitude, Motivation and Personality.
Hope this will help. All the Best.
Dear Aspirant,
Again you are in illusions about the corporate world.
Comparing MTech and MBA is the first big mistake you are committing as usually students do.
Getting high salary does not depend only on qualification and please understand that MBA is always not needed for getting high salary. If you wish to remain in the technical domain, MBA wont help you 1% to get high salary. For this you have to be a MTech or PhD.
High salaries are there in both technical as well as non technical, however whether you are capable enough to get that high salary is the question. Be after getting 'kaabil', 'kamiyaabi' will automatically come.
You are a fresher, you need to prove what you know and what you can offer to the organisation and how will your job will contribute towards the organisation's goal. You are not supposed to think of high salary in your first job. Do not join an organisation with this attitude.
Doing MBA after 5 years of experience will give you good results than now. IF you do MBA now, you will work in finance/hr/marketing, etc where your engineering degree will not be of any use.
Best wishes
