Dear Simran,
Thanks for approaching CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance to your confusion. I am sure that you will benefit from sharing your concern with us.
Simran, Media, Mass Communication, Events Management are separate courses which exists in India. For a commerce graduate like you who has interest in diverse areas, what you can do is firstly find out the course syllabus of each of the above courses. You can find the syllabus on the internet search.
There are separate courses in Media Management, Mass Communication, Event Management, Modelling, Film Making, etc. So choosing one of them which suits to you the best needs to be identified first.
MCom is a strict no. Choosing between Masters or MBA, I would suggest that since all the above fields are related to arts and event management related to management, for artistic fields an MA or Masters course will be the best and for events management, MBA would be good from a reputed Institute in your city, state.
You being a commerce student, it appears that you are not inclined to continue in commerce field.
I would suggest you to under go a Psychometric Assessment Test which is also available with CareerGuide.com. This is not a psychiatrist test, but an emotional and aptitude test. This test will tell you exactly in which field you can go and become successful. This test can be taken online and will require about 30 mins to answer the questions asked, however make sure that you answer them very honestly, unbiased and without any interference of anybody.
As of today all the field mentioned by you are in high demand and shall remain so. There fore its necessary that you should choose one of them wisely in order to avoid future complications or frustrations.
Mass Communication is top course today which gives insights into all the areas of communication including media, events, print, advertising, etc. Masters course in Mass communication is the best to do here.
Simran, the simple logic behind choosing a career option, is to ask your self that which thing you love to do the most and whether that thing you can do for your whole life and time without any problem and with full of enthusiasm and energy.
Best luck.

Hi Simran,
Firstly wish you all the very best for your final semester. Put in all your efforts and do your best.
As far as a Postgraduate studies is concerned, it is completely your personal choice.Since by the time one is a Gradaute, one develops good sense about themselves and the world around them and at the same time they are prone to speak analytically.
Very happy to see a keen interests more in the creative field.
So here according to me it would be good if you could head towards the creative or the media field rather than getting into the academics and getting stuck with a monotonous lifestyle.
But before you make a choice of the field, it would be good to do a self analysis or rather self introspection. You need to know how ceative and out of the box thinking you have. Can you visualize things when not present, and at the same time are able to reproduce it when and where required. At the same time, are you someone who can convince people and get them to follow what you feel the ideas that would be the best fit.
If yes then this is the field for you. Also I would suggests that it is not too late to do or pursue a masters program.
Probably in the meantime, when you are working, you can get yourself.certificate courses which range from 6 months to a year.
Other than that if you are really interested in Media, especially here you would have to decide whether it is related to Journalism or Advertisement.
If this is ultimately what you wish to pursue then its best you pursue a Mass communication degree.
At the same time, modeling or event management can be pursued simultaneosuly with the studies you pursue.
Apart from this, since you have plans to be in the crative field, apart from just a PG degree, get yourself certified with courses related to:
Hope this answers your query.Wish you good luck...
Hi
First of all I should have clear idea about your interest and patience of being with the subject/courses for 2-year more: so you need to have some knowledge of your personality-Career Counselling Online will be helpful for that.
Are you in job-or involved in Family Business -it is because I just want to know why you choose Distance Course for Graduation Course-I think somehow you are busy with earning or some odd job( Modelling etc.)
It is better to join Dual MBA Prog. -that will be helpful-the degree combines with MBA+PGD: MBA will give you a good idea of Business Management subject, that I think will lead you skilfully in your professional career and PGD of your chosen subject( Modelling, mass comm, Film making, Audio-Visual, Editing) will help you to be in your most likable profession.
So now it is you who will take the final DECISION.
Dear career aspirant.
If you are interested in pursuing your career in media, mass communication, theater, drama etc you should care to try such a course in PG level. This is all about your skills, expertise, internal urges and aptitudes. As we always say, carer is not about salary or money earned. Career is always your passion. Career is your life and lifestyle. Career is where you always get the ultimate life achievement and life achievement is not measured with money.
In your case, I advise you to take a career and aptitude test. The test result should refluct your abilities, aptitude and skills. Based on that test result you can choose your own career related education without having to take another opinion. These career and aptitude tests are that accurate.
In my opinion, you also should make sure that you always go with your intuition. When you go with your intuition, you seldom make mistakes.
Sincerely with warm regards.
its depend on after completed bcom and mass comm and mba is better for you i think so
