Dear Aspirant,
There are clerk level positions in Armed forces, but that it not a good position career as such. These positions are based on vacancies only.
I would suggest you to take the psychometric test (Ideal Career Test) from www.careerguide.com
To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo an online psychometric test from CareerGuide which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which career is ideal for you.You can then call counsellors to discuss.
Best wishes!
Dear Anirudh,
Thanks for writing on www.careerguide com!!
Firstly, for a commerce stream 12 th passed candidate direct joining as Commissioned Officer in Army/ Navy or Air force isn't possible. 12 th passed through Science has better scope. However, there are 2 options that you have:
First, you may complete your graduation in commerce and appear for CDS exams which stands for Combined Defence Services Examination) wherein the eligibility is any graduate candidate who passed graduation from a Recognized University. After the written test is an Interview known as SSB ( Service Selection Board Interview). This option will help you to have a Commissioned Officers' rank.
OPTION 2: Armed forces sections in different states and districts regularly organize something called as ' Jawan Bharti'/ ' Army Mela' rel="nofollow" Schemes. You may apply from it. Although if you join from them after your current qualifications but you cannot join as Commissioned Officer. But would be employed as a Jawan or in any Junior Commissioned Section. But the good part is taking this up you can always continue your graduation while working and then appear for CDS Exam and can move up in rank!
So now you need to decide whether you want to complete your graduation full-time first and then join any Armed Forces or would like to join first and work and study.
If you still do not feel confident on the career choice then I would recommend you to take career assessment available on Career guide.com and clear your doubts.
Please feel free to write back to us for any further assistance.
Wish you have a bright career!Apurva Kumar Pandya, PhD
