Yes, if you are a graduate you are eligible to apply for the banking examination for the PO posts because for PO exam graduation is must from recognised university in any discipline. The maximum age limit is 30 years for the general category. So, I think you can apply for the same. The percentage required in the graduation is more than 50% but some banks need more than 60%. The candidate’s age must be between 21-30 years for the reserved category and relaxation in age for the other category candidate’s age it is 33 years for the OBC and 35 years for the SC/ST candidates. The examination is mainly conducted by the SBI and the IBPS which is liable for 29 nationalised banks. The examination is conducted in two phases as the Written and the personal interview only candidates who qualify the written exam can go for interview. The upper age limit is 28 years for any banking exams conducted by IBPS. 30 years of age is not allowed. You can apply to private banks instead.

I feel, you should try for private banks and the private banking industry (when RBI is also issuing new banking licenses to private entities to start the banking business) is growing and there are more opportunities than public sector banks for jobs and growth. A good qualification like CA, CWA, MBA can get you in a good designation job in private banks.
