Dear friend,

You have a professional degree of bioinformatics which has good scope in teaching and as well as in private sector. You are pursuing BEd, but there is no combination of BEd and bioinformatics. as you wish to teach the 11 and 12 class students, therefore, you have change your approach.

Unorganised Sector

Now my advice is, first you complete your B.Ed, this will be an added qualification for you. You may justify that you have chosen B.Ed because, it provided an exposure to you, how to become a good and effective teacher or how to improve teaching. So B.Ed will be an added advantage for you.

For teaching 11 and 12 classes in Haryana, you should try for Junior Lectureship (as you have mentioned that you pursuing BEd from KUK, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra). Your post graduate degree is enough to teach the 11 and 12 class students. You better look for the subject related job in news papers and on the websites of schools.

Now let me tell you something better related to your academic qualification. Why don't you choose the bioinformatics in private sector or for higher education. In higher education, after B.Ed you register for doctoral degree program. The PhD in Bioinformatics has good opportunities in India as well as abroad.

Now you may thing that you will only get job satisfaction by teaching 11 and 12 classes and money is not an important criteria for you.

My job is to guide you and tell you the various opportunities you could get, you will be the judge to decide what to do and what not do for your career planning.

Teaching as a passion can also be fulfilled by teaching graduates and post graduates students i colleges and universities. But to make an entry NET (National Eligibility Test) certificate conducted by UGC-CSIR is very important.

On the other hand, the private companies and multinational companies do offer great opportunities in bioinformatics. The career opportunities are increasing in bioinformatics by employing information technology in molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, pharmacy, research institutions, industries and hospitals.

Some of the basic job of a bioinformatic person involves in sequence assembly and analysis, data base designing and maintenance, proteomics, pharmacagenomics, informatics developer, pharmacologist, drug designing and development, computational chemist and biochemist and bioanalyst.

The bioinformacist are also working as Geneticist, biomedical computer scientist, computational biologist, bio-statistician.

Good Luck

Hi,

If you are interested in lectureship, you might like to appear in the NET exam. NTA conducts UGC NET exam twice a year for the post graduates and NET qualified candidates can be appointed as an Assistance Professor in any of the UGC approved top universities across India.

NTA UGC NET examination is a great opportunity to make your career in the teaching field. As an MSc graduate, you can appear in this exam if you have 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved categories). Make sure to check all the eligibility criteria before applying. If you applied, you should make a proper study plan and follow accordingly to prepare for exam.

All the best!
